Message From Lori Ferguson (Director of Career and Technical Center) 

 

The Regional Career and Technical Center strives to provide the best training for our students.  Let us work together as community partners to improve college and career readiness and employment outcomes for our youth.  We seek to provide a highly skilled employable workforce by combining our talents, expertise, and industry/business knowledge to train our students to be the next generation of highly skilled employees.

 

Ways we can help each other

We can:  

  • Provide a venue for your business meetings at our onsite restaurant, The Knotty Oak Room or catering services
  • Provide you with interested students for paid and unpaid internships and job mentoring opportunities
  • Provide you with trained entry level employees in a variety of career pathways
  • Provide services for you or your employees (gift certificates available)
  • Provide cosmetology and/or nail services for the elderly or employee appreciation day discounts
  • Provide discounted automotive services for senior citizens, low income community members or employee incentives
  • Coordinate wellness screenings at your agency or place of employment (blood pressure, vision screenings, derma scan screenings).
  • Help fill your employment needs with our Licensed CNAs 
  • Help you with your IT Help desk services, computer repair, and software updates
  • Help you with your printing needs:  brochures, pamphlets, booklets, vinyl lettering, and banners as well as embroidery, silk screening for tee shirts, business/spirit wear, team gear, and logo products

You can:  

  • Be a guest speaker and share your career expertise in a classroom or career fair
  • Participate on our local advisory board to offer your expertise in areas of training, equipment trends, and industry skills
  • Donate equipment and/or training materials and supplies
  • Mentor a student in your career field
  • Work with a classroom to present a real world problem that students have to solve
  • Provide tours of your facility
