Health Careers

Last Updated: 3/30/2022 8:29 PM

The Health Careers program provides training for students who wish to pursue a career in nursing or other medical-related fields.  Students become immersed in a rigorous course of study which integrates important concepts in science, math, and skill-based training.  This program includes an honors option and will prepare students to obtain a variety of related credentials which will prepare them to enter the workforce upon graduation, enter college, and beyond.

In order to become eligible to take the Rhode Island Department of Health Certified Nursing Assistant exam, students must accumulate a minimum of forty clinical hours in off-site facilities.   At this time,  due to the ongoing Covid19 regulations, the Department of Health requires students to be vaccinated to enter and intern in a healthcare facility.  Our partner sites include West View Nursing Home, Alpine Nursing Home, St. Elizabeth’s, and Riverview Nursing Center to name a few of our local partners.

Students can receive a science-related credit upon completing Health Careers 4.
