Dear Friends,
GOOD
NEWS!! Thanks to the members and supporters of Team
Tolerance, we raised a considerable amount of money to help support the
Autism Project of RI during the 5th annual Imagine Walk and Family Fun Day, which
was held on April 29th at Goddard State Park. Our district placed 2nd in
the School Challenge...which
is an amazing accomplishment for this newly formed team! In total,
with the help of an amazing group of supporters, Team Tolerance raised
$5,670.00, which will go to support the many incredible programs the
Autism Project offers to support and educate individuals and families living
with an autism spectrum disorder.
For placing 2nd, the Coventry Public Schools
have the opportunity to send two staff memebers
(including teachers & assitants) to each
take part in a 9 week training class the project offers. These
trainings offer valuable education in the area of autism spectrum
disorders to better acquaint and educate those who work with students who are
living with ASD and are educated in the Coventry Schools. Please assist us in
choosing these individuals by emailing Cara Capalbo cac7545@aol.com with your suggestions and ideas based on need, desire and
willingness to participate in these trainings during the Fall
of 2007 at the Autism Project of RI in Cranston.
Thanks to everyone for your support and
enthusiasm! Wait till next year!
Fondly,
Cara Capalbo &
